Farm transitions are critical for agricultural longevity, yet failing to plan can lead to forced sales, family disputes, or financial burdens.
To address these challenges, the Eastern NC Farm Succession School will take place on Thursday, March 6, at the NC Cooperative Extension | Lenoir County Center in Kinston, NC.
This workshop is one of three collaborative events, where Ward and Smith joins forces with NC State Extension to equip farmers and landowners with the necessary legal and financial knowledge for effective farm succession planning.
Farmers of all sizes, along with members of farm families, will gain valuable insights from Ward and Smith attorneys Hunter Morris, Sydney Smith, and Peter von Stein. They will provide guidance on succession planning, estate protection, and tax strategies, helping participants prepare effectively for the future.
Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased here.
