Business North Carolina recently honored Asheville attorney Joanne Badr for making a difference in her community.
Joanne was among 22 young professionals recognized by the publication in its inaugural Trailblazers list. To be nominated, a person had to be under 40 years old, live in a community with fewer than 100,000 residents, show significant business success, and strive to make a positive impact. Joanne is a commercial real estate attorney whose practice emphasizes the representation of banks and other financial institutions in commercial loans transactions involving asset-based and real estate secured loans. She also advises developers and housing authorities in connection with tax credit developments of multifamily and affordable housing. Joanne also regularly assists clients on a broad range of business law matters including the formation and structuring of new businesses and investment entities, business transfer and acquisitions, asset purchase and sale transactions, and contract drafting and negotiation.
Recently, Joanne's dedication to her practice area earned her a 2018 "Rising Star" recognition by North Carolina Super Lawyers Magazine.
