Madeline Williams to Speak at CAI-NC's Wilmington Spring Education + Networking Event

Community associations attorney Madeline Williams will speak at the upcoming Wilmington Spring Education + Networking Event hosted by the Community Associations Institute of North Carolina (CAI-NC).

The event will take place on Wednesday, April 9, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Bowstring Burgers and Brewyard in Wilmington, NC.

Madeline will co-present a session titled "Lower the Boom on Bad Behaviors: Tools & Tips" alongside Melissa Ramsey, LSM, PCAM, of Mosaic Community Consulting and the 2025 President of National CAI. Together, they will cover a range of topics critical to community association governance, including:

  • Managing board and committee behavior
  • The manager's role in addressing misconduct
  • Effective use of codes of conduct
  • Enforceable consequences for board member misconduct
  • Handling homeowner issues, including mental health concerns
  • Knowing when and how to seek outside assistance
  • Strategies for maintaining community harmony

Attendees will walk away with practical strategies to enhance governance and improve community relations, while also earning one Continuing Education Unit (CEU) for participating in the educational hour. The presentation will be followed by an opportunity to network over appetizers, with a cash bar available and chances to win prizes.

CAI-NC’s Wilmington Spring Education + Networking Event is open to both members and non-members, with registration fees set at $35 and $45, respectively. Managers and volunteer leaders are highly encouraged to attend to gain valuable insights and tools for fostering positive behaviors within their associations.
