The Greenville Eastern North Carolina (ENC) Alliance recently welcomed commercial real estate attorney Drake Brinkley as its new Board of Directors Chair.
After a successful tenure as vice chair and secretary, Drake was elected during the board's annual meeting in May and has since embarked on his one-year term, which began July 1.
Drake steps into his new role with enthusiasm, ready to champion the five-year strategic plan that has just been established. In an official press release, Drake expressed his commitment to forging a brighter future for the Alliance.
"It is truly an honor to be at the helm of this exciting journey with such an outstanding team of professionals, a distinguished board of directors, and dedicated community partners."
He continued,
"Our mission is clear, the team is well-prepared, excited, and resolute. We can't wait to tap into the team's vast potential to propel the region toward economic development, growth, and success."
Drake brings with him a wealth of experience in the commercial real estate industry to his new position. He has been recognized as a leader throughout his legal career, earning several distinctions along the way, such as being recognized as a "Legal Elite" and a "Best Lawyer in America." With nearly 20 years of practice under his belt, his experience encompasses all aspects of commercial real property, including acquisition, disposition, leasing, land use and zoning entitlement, planning, construction, and financing.
Alongside his work with the ENC Alliance, Drake proudly serves as a board member for the Engineering Foundation of the NC State University College of Engineering —a commendable testament to his commitment to excellence.
Founded in 2019, the ENC Alliance is a public-private partnership composed of local governments, business leaders, economic development professionals, and educational institutions working together to strengthen economic progress by bringing new capital investment and new well-paying jobs to the community.
