At the upcoming North Carolina Advocate for Justice (NCAJ) 2024 Convention in Wilmington from June 12 to June 15, Ward and Smith will be front and center, showcasing their commitment to excellence in the legal field.
Attorney Chris Edwards, a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Appellate Practice, will discuss thriving in Appellate courts. His session, titled "Snatching Victory from the Jaws of Defeat: Preparing to Succeed in the Appellate Courts," on Friday, June 14, promises to be both enlightening and engaging.
Ward and Smith is not only sponsoring but actively shaping the convention experience by hosting two significant events. The NCAJ Annual Meeting & Lunch Plenary Session on Thursday, June 13, will focus on "Saving Democracy In 2024," featuring the election of new leaders and other key activities.
Following this, attendees can look forward to a thought-provoking Plenary Session on "Battling Apathy and Disinformation" with a panel of election experts, including Patrick Gannon from N.C. State Board of Elections, Leonard Jernigan from North Carolina Voter Project, and Kori House, Executive Director of North Carolina Voter Project.
The excitement continues with the Friday Soiree, proudly sponsored by Ward and Smith. This evening event will feature live music by North Carolina's own Coconut Groove Band, delectable hors d'oeuvres, signature cocktails, and a vibrant summer cocktail attire dress code.
Behind the scenes, Ward and Smith personal injury attorney Jeremy Wilson played a crucial role in co-planning this remarkable event. Jeremy will also lead the Auto Torts & Premises Liability Section Meeting as the section chair.
