Mike McIntyre was recently invited to speak at the North Carolina Bar Association's Professionalism Committee meeting.
This invitation to speak was extended in recognition of his receipt of the prestigious H. Brent McKnight Renaissance Lawyer Award, which is bestowed annually upon a North Carolina attorney who upholds the highest ethical and professional standards.
The event, held on April 2, provided Mike with a platform to share his insights and experiences as an attorney, as well as his extensive contributions to the community, state, and nation throughout his esteemed career.
With nearly four decades of legal experience, Mike has played a pivotal role in supporting North Carolinians and businesses in government relations and economic development matters. He has also spent countless hours volunteering in the schools, teaching about the Constitution and promoting civic education. As a representative for the Seventh Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1997 to 2015, he consistently championed the interests of his constituents and advocated for various initiatives.
Mike's dedication to public service and the legal profession has been widely recognized. Notably, he has received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the John B. McMillian Distinguished Service Award from the North Carolina State Bar.
In June, Mike will be formally presented with the H. Brent McKnight Renaissance Lawyer Award at the North Carolina Bar Association Convention in Charlotte.
