Creditors' rights attorney Lance Martin will be a featured panelist at the 2025 Western North Carolina Bankruptcy Seminar, hosted by the Mecklenburg County Bar on Friday, May 16, at the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte.
The seminar offers a full day of CLE programming, with registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. and sessions running from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Lance will participate in the panel discussion titled "From Devastation to Recovery: Western North Carolina Post-Helene," which will delve into the economic, legal, and insurance challenges following Hurricane Helene's impact on the region. Joining him on the panel are Robert C. Tatum, PhD, Professor in Economics at the University of North Carolina at Asheville and Chair of the Economics Research Hub; Tige Hopper from Insurance Service of Asheville; and Steven G. Tate, Chapter 13 Trustee, who will serve as the moderator.
The panel aims to provide a multidisciplinary perspective on the recovery process, addressing the complexities faced by communities and professionals in the aftermath of natural disasters.
