It's that time of year again to lace up your running shoes and join in the fun at the 16th Annual Turkey Trot hosted by Twin Rivers YMCA.
This Thanksgiving tradition is set to take place on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at the Taberna Golf and Country Club in New Bern, NC.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to kick off your Thanksgiving celebrations, the Turkey Trot has something for everyone. The event features a 5K and a 10K route, with the 5K route perfect for families, strollers, and leashed dogs. For those looking for a bit more of a challenge, the 10K is geared towards competitive runners.
But here's the best part - if you can't attend the in-person event, you can still join the fun by choosing the virtual race option. You'll have the flexibility to run or jog in your neighborhood, local park, or even on a treadmill.
And let's not forget about the little ones! The Kid's Dash offers children aged 12 and under the chance to participate in a 40-yard dash, complete with a t-shirt and medal for all participants.
