Attorney Amy Wooten has been appointed to the North Carolina Bar Association's (NCBA) Insurance Law Section Council.
As she embarks on this new role, she will have the opportunity to collaborate with other accomplished members of the Council who share her passion for staying abreast of developments in the law pertaining to and impacting insurance. Over the next three years, Amy will contribute her wealth of knowledge and experience to discussions, initiatives, and events that aim to enhance the understanding and application of insurance law among legal professionals.
Amy co-chairs the firm's Insurance Counseling and Recovery Practice Group. She has successfully litigated complex coverage issues involving commercial property, directors and officers (D&O), errors and omissions (E&O), disability, and commercial general liability (CGL) insurance.
Amy also has a robust litigation practice focused on commercial disputes, fiduciary duty claims, unfair and deceptive trade practices claims, and community association matters. Additionally, she litigates disputes of all flavors that arise in the agribusiness and hemp industries and defends licensed professionals before North Carolina's many professional and occupational licensing boards.
