Each year, the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) selects only 16 outstanding attorneys from across the state for its Leadership Academy, and Ward and Smith is thrilled to announce that Allen Trask is among them.
The Academy's mission is to help lawyers become effective leaders in their communities and the legal profession by assisting in the development of leadership skills through training sessions over four months.
Since 2011, the NCBA Leadership Academy has provided leadership training annually to 16 attorneys, thus making admission competitive. Allen joins previous Leadership Academy graduates Lauren Arnette, Sam Franck, Will Oden, Michael Parrish, Hayley Wells, and Jeremy Wilson as Ward and Smith representatives in this prestigious program.
Allen is a litigation attorney whose practice focuses on assisting those who own, manage, and invest in real estate and common interest communities. Additionally, he leads the firm's Agribusiness Practice Group, where he coordinates the firm's resources to address the specialized issues facing clients in the agribusiness community, such as farmland leases, corporate organization, restructuring, dissolution, and succession planning. These agribusiness services encompass all aspects of hemp and cannabidiol (CBD) operations, including licensure before the North Carolina Industrial Hemp Pilot Program, liability and risk planning, sales and marketing contracts, and grower agreements.
