Adam Beaudoin, Alex Dale, Hunter Cornelius, and Madeline Williams

Ward and Smith is proud to announce that four of our attorneys—Adam Beaudoin, Alex Dale, Hunter Cornelius, and Madeline Williams—will be sharing their expertise at the upcoming 2025 Community Association Law Day Symposium.

This virtual event, organized by the Community Associations Institute of North Carolina (CAI-NC), is scheduled for Friday, March 21, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The symposium offers a unique half-day of learning, featuring 12 diverse topics and an update on legislative developments affecting North Carolina community associations. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn four Continuing Education Units (CEUs) while engaging with North Carolina's premier attorneys in HOA and condominium law.

Our attorneys will contribute to the following sessions:

  • Transparency – The Good, the Bad, and the Risky – Alex Dale will discuss when transparency is beneficial, when it can create challenges, and how to maintain effective governance.
  • Regulating Parking on Streets and Other Board Regulations – Hunter Cornelius and Madeline Williams will explain parking restrictions, enforcement, and towing authority in community associations.
  • Identifying, Avoiding, and Navigating Potential Community Nuisances – Adam Beaudoin, alongside Cynthia Jones, Partner at Sellers, Ayers, Dortch & Lyons, P.A., will examine common HOA nuisances such as pickleball noise, barking dogs, and fire pits, providing strategies to reduce liability and resolve disputes.

Registration for the symposium is open, with fees set at $125 for CAI-NC members and $155 for non-members. For more details and to register, please visit the CAI-NC event page
