It's back in person!

Ward and Smith is delighted to once again open its to host the 1L Interview Day for the North Carolina Bar Association's ("NCBA") Minorities in the Profession Committee ("MIP").

The event will be held on Thursday, February 16, in the firm's Raleigh office. More than a dozen law firms and corporations will interview first-year students from Campbell Law School, Duke University School of Law, Elon Law School, NC Central School of Law, UNC School of Law, and Wake Forest University Law School.

The Minorities in the Profession (MIP) Committee's Interview Day event is one of many initiatives Ward and Smith is proud to support in order to promote diversity in the legal profession. Our collaborative efforts with MIP have resulted in the successful recruitment of talented 1L students, such as Justin Hill, who served as a summer associate in 2018 and 2019, and Avery Locklear, a 2020 summer associate. Both Justin and Avery have joined Ward and Smith as full-time labor and employment attorneys.
