The Professional Development Consortium's (PDC) Annual Summer Conference was one for the record books, and Melissa Forshey Schwind, Ward and Smith's Director of Attorney Recruiting, Professional Development, and D&I, was an integral part of the team that ensured its success.
The 2023 Summer Conference, which took place from July 20-22 at the Marriott Charlotte City Center in Charlotte, is a gathering of legal professionals that offers exceptional learning and networking opportunities.
Melissa played a vital role in ensuring the program's success, serving as co-chair of the planning committee for the first time after her second consecutive year on the planning committee.
In a Facebook post, she expressed her gratitude to everyone involved in making this year a rebounding success, stating:
"I was honored to have been named one of the Co-Chairs of the 2023 Professional Development Consortium's Annual Summer Conference in Charlotte, NC, this time last year. After a year of working with my amazing Co-Cahir, Planning Committee, and Association Management Company, we hosted one of the largest-attended conferences in the Consortium's history. I'm so thankful to have had this amazing opportunity and to work for a Firm that fully supports my professional aspirations."
