Co-Manging Director and labor and employment attorney Devon Williams has been named to the 2022 class of the Salisbury-Rowan Hall of Fame.
The news was featured in an article published by the Salisbury Post. Devon was one of several people elected this year. This is the first group to be inducted into the Hall of Fame since the COVID pandemic forced the Hall of Fame committee to cancel all meetings for the past two years.
The publication highlighted Devon as the first fast-pitch softball player and the 13th woman elected to the local Hall of Fame's membership. The article went on to showcase some notable achievements from Devon's collegiate sports career. From the article:
[Devon Williams] Jarvis (West Rowan, Class of 2005) was MVP of the 3A State Championships in 2002 and 2003 as a pitcher. Those were the only Rowan teams ever to win state titles in the sport.
Playing shortstop as a senior, she led a new group of Falcons to a state runner-up finish.
She went on to play four years in the ACC and was a three-year starter for Maryland.
An induction ceremony will occur on Saturday, November 12, at the Salisbury Civic Center. You can read the full article to find the complete list of the 2022 Hall of Fame class.
