Litigation attorney Gavin Parsons is set to speak at the North Carolina Bar Association's 2025 Antitrust & Complex Business Disputes Law Section Program.

The one-day event will take place on January 30 at the North Carolina Bar Center in Cary, NC. 

Gavin's session, "Litigating Trade Secret Claims in NC and Beyond," will kick off at 9:00 a.m. This presentation will delve into trade secret protections under North Carolina and federal laws, clarify what qualifies as a trade secret, and highlight common challenges in litigating trade secret claims. Topics will include injunctive relief, essential elements of proof, discovery issues, and potential damages. Additionally, practical considerations for litigators handling trade secret claims, including other possible claims that may be uncovered during the process, will be discussed.

Additional topics covered during the CLE program include leveraging AI in complex litigation, fostering inclusivity within the legal profession, strategies for handling business defamation claims, navigating antitrust and business issues from an in-house counsel perspective, and insights from a Business Court panel.
