Attorney Christina Cress will moderate a keynote panel at the 2025 State Energy Conference of North Carolina, entitled "Energy addition, not subtraction: How do different technologies fit in North Carolina's energy future?"
Hosted and planned by the NC Clean Energy Technology Center at NC State University, the 2025 State Energy Conference of North Carolina will be held at the McKimmon Conference and Training Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, on April 29-30, 2025. This highly anticipated opening keynote plenary panel moderated by Christina will take place from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on April 29 in Room 1 of the McKimmon Center.
The panel discussion will feature insights regarding the role of mature and emerging generation technologies in grid planning and in achieving North Carolina's carbon dioxide emissions reduction targets, which were enacted into law in 2021 following the passage of landmark energy legislation commonly referred to as House Bill 951 or "Energy Solutions for North Carolina."
The State Energy Conference is recognized as a leading event for energy policy and regulatory professionals, including attorneys, regulators, engineers, accountants, economists, and other subject matter experts. This year, the State Energy Conference is anticipated to draw over 800 energy industry leaders, offering an excellent opportunity for sharing ideas and discussing current and future energy technology and policy trends.
