Estate administration attorney Terri Sharp was recently appointed to the Craven Community College Foundation Board of Directors, strengthening the firm's connection to Craven Community College. She joined the board for a four-year term on July 1, 2023.
Terri's expertise in estate planning and commitment to educational advancement make her a valuable addition to the Foundation. The Foundation serves as a crucial bridge between the community and the college, facilitating the connection of resources that support students and faculty. Terri's commendable track record in public service, including her tenure as the Clerk of Superior Court of Craven County for over a decade and various board appointments, attests to her capacity to excel in her role as an invaluable asset to the Foundation.
"I am honored to be a part of the Craven Community College Foundation," said Terri Sharp. "As someone who has always called Craven County my home, I'm excited to give back to the community and contribute towards creating meaningful learning experiences."
Through her efforts, Terri is set to make positive strides in fundraising, developing student growth strategies, and establishing meaningful collaborations between the college and local businesses.
Moreover, her appointment upholds Ward and Smith's legacy of excellence with the school. Attorney Amy Wang served as a Foundation board member for nine years. Ward and Smith's co-founder, David Ward, served as Craven Community College's longest advisor before retiring after 51 years. In honoring his commitment, the college dedicated an entire building in his name—Ward Hall.
