Attorney Amy Fitzhugh has joined the Administrative Law Section Council within the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA). In her role on the council, she has been appointed as the co-chair of the Section's CLE Committee.
In addition to her role on the council, she has been appointed as the co-chair of the Section's CLE Committee.
Since joining, Amy has been actively involved in various initiatives. Notably, she played a vital role in organizing the 2023 Legislative Review CLE event, which took place in November. This event featured Ward and Smith labor and employment attorney Grant Osborne as a speaker.
The Administrative Law Section serves the needs of legal professionals who represent clients and practice before state and local regulatory boards and commissions, as well as the Office of Administrative Hearings and occupational licensing boards. This Section aims to improve administrative rule-making and adjudication before the Office of Administration Hearings or boards and commissions.
Amy co-leads the firm's Professional Licensing Practice Group. Her practice focuses on representing licensed professionals who encounter legal issues while obtaining initial licensure, renewing or reinstating their license, or facing allegations or complaints of practice violations reported to occupational licensing boards.
