Trusts and estates attorney Zac Lamb will serve as a North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section council member.
His term expires in 2025.
The Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section brings together attorneys engaging in estate planning and trust and estate administration, promoting public awareness of estate planning and administration issues and the role of attorneys in these fields.
Section members enjoy the opportunity to network with other estate planning attorneys and other professionals involved in the estate planning process, such as bankers, financial institutions, clerks of court, and CPAs. The Section has a "Joint Statement of Principles" with banks and financial institutions, works to resolve differences with CPAs engaging in "legal" transactions, and publishes the Estate Administration Manual.
Zac is certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law. He counsels individuals on their estate plans and helps them prepare the legal documents to achieve those plans (such as Last Wills, Trust Agreements, Durable Powers of Attorney, Health Care Powers of Attorney, and HIPAA Authorizations). Zac also advises fiduciaries, such as estate Executors and Trustees, on administrative matters.
Zac's practice also involves assisting closely-held business owners in various transactional matters and business succession planning. He regularly advises clients on a broad range of business law matters, including the formation of new business and investment entities, stock purchase/sale transactions, asset purchase/sale transactions, and contract drafting and negotiation.
