Government relations attorney Whitney Campbell Christensen was recently quoted in an article by the Blue Ridge Public Radio News.
She has been actively involved in advocating for important initiatives in the region. In a recent Buncombe County Commission meeting, she emphasized the need for state reimbursement for a city-county school merger feasibility study. From the article:
“They both have come out publicly to say that they support reimbursement for the study.,” Christensen said. “In light of that, we feel like we all have reason to be optimistic that that reimbursement will come through in the 2024 short session budget.”
She said that due to the “smaller dollar amount,” more follow-up will be necessary to make it happen.
