Business Attorney Deana A. Labriola Joins Ward and Smith, P.A.

Ward and Smith, P.A. is pleased to announce that attorney Deana A. Labriola joined its Business Section in May. She will work in the Firm's Raleigh office. Ms. Labriola's practice experience encompasses a broad range of business matters from drafting and negotiating corporate agreements and documents, to managing all aspects of mergers, acquisitions, venture capital, and debt financing transactions. She represents publicly and privately held technology, biotechnology, and government contracting companies, and assists them in all aspects of their business, from corporate governance and transactions, to business development and expansion opportunities. She is licensed in the District of Columbia, Illinois, and Maryland. Her license in North Carolina is currently pending.

Ms. Labriola received her law degree in 2001 from The Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law where she was a member of the editorial board of the Catholic University Law Review. She also received her M.A. in World Politics from The Catholic University of America in 2001. Ms. Labriola is a member of several professional organizations including the International Section of the American Bar Association and the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
